Are there any vegans who do not eat soy products?
I don't like soy products, they taste terrible. Am I the only one, or are there other vegans out there who also prefer black beans over tofu? Peanut butter & jam sandwich over a mock meat sandwich? Chocolate soy milk over plain soy milk?
(fake bologna.... ~~shudder!~~)
Fake hot dogs .... ~~double shudder!!!~~

A lot of vegans don't eat soy products. Soy products, unless they are fermented soy, are extremely unhealthy to eat. You can read how dangerous soy is at:

Substituting fake meat products for real meat products seems ridiculous. They tend to be items more unhealthy than meat and tend to be drier, chalkier, less flavorful than actual meat. If you're going to stop eating meat, expand your diet with the wide variety of produce and ethnic vegetarian products available. If one doesn't want to eat meat, why would he fill his diet with things that try to imitate meat.

I'm not mad on soy stuff. I only use soy milk on my cereal because it's convenient and has b12. I don't eat tofu. I've eaten it about five times.
I don't like mock meat or any of that stuff. Especially cheese.... *shudders*
I do like Alpro Soya yogurts though. They have the same taste, texture and flavour as some yogurts made from cows milk.

I am highly allergic to soy, but would avoid it even if I could have it. Most soy is genetically modified with all sorts of crazy crap, and there is too much controversy and potential for problems. You can make an awesome "tofu" using black beans, cranberry beans, or any other beans, for that matter-you can also make bean "milks" very easily at home. As for the fake meats, they make me gag just looking at them. My 14 year old daughter is vegetarian, and she can't stand them either. At a recent family bbq, her grandmother cooked her a soy burger, but my daughter simply could not eat it (at least grammy tried, but had she asked, we would have told her to just throw a portabello mushroom on the grill for a "burger") oh, well. I like natural food, as nature intended it. No need to fake it, fancy it up, or pretend its something else. Just plain, wholesome, nutritious food works for me.

I like soy milk smoothies (with banana, cacao, and spinach lol)
but I try to avoid soy as much as possible.
Soy is a real cruel industry, it is destroying the amazon in Brazil and doing much harm for the indigenous people.
Plus it's not as healthy as the media tells us it is.
Raw soy is toxic when consumed in large amounts, they should only be consumed fermented (like miso, tofu, duenjang ...) Soy impairs the thyroid function.
So I try to avoid it as much as possible.

i do, i hate subsitute meats and soy. I drink oatmilk, and as for 'fake' sausages, i just prefer vegetable sausages or fingers, hell of a lot nicer. i don't mind quorn chicken, but i cannot stand tofu.
so your not alone, i never eat soy products. x
