    Strictly speaking no, the Old Testament wasn't written in English, words were use that people later translated as "faith", but that is not the same thing.

    Yes it is.

    The first Scripture is in Genesis 15:6

    where talking about Abraham it says "And he put faith in Jehovah; and he proceeded to count it to him as righteousness"

    It also mentions Faith in Isaiah 43:10 "YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God

    formed, and after me there continued to be none"

    And even though the Old Testament may not actually use the word faith as much as the New Testament, it does show examples of faith.

    Abraham put faith in God's promise of a resurrection, and was therefore willing to sacrifice his son.

    Hebrews 11:1 give us the definition of faith."Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld."

    Hope this helped. :)

    Many times. Perhaps Genesis 15.6 (Abraham had faith in God, and God accounted that to him as righteousness.") and Habbakuk 2.4 ("The righteous One shall live by faith.") are the most central passages on faith. Habbakuk is quoted about 3 times in the New Testament.

    * Deuteronomy 32:20

    And he said , I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

    * Habakkuk 2:4

    Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

    Read Hebrews 11, they had faith, and faith was mention.
