the army. Now we are in the process of paying it back. If we were to file Chapter 7 would what amount be eligible to include or would we still have to pay it back

Are you my sister in-law? The same EXACT thing happened to my brother when he was in the Army. Evidently, they consider being injured in combat to be "unable to perform your duties as assigned" and docked him for 1 years worth of his raise when he jumped pay grades. Be All That You Can Be! Because the Army is the government, there is a chance that this will not be discharged. My brother filed and his case was not.
