Is paper hurting trees?

I've heard somewhere that Logging(or paper or whatever its called) companies actually grow trees for the purpose of cutting them down A.K.A. they don't go wherever and start chopping and wasting trees.

Is this true?

Well, the government made a law that if they do cut trees, they should replace every single one by planting after some time. But some companies are still brutal because of illegal logging.

Paper does hurt trees since it will take a very long time to plant another tree and wait for it to grow. So we should recycle, and spread the word. Natural resources are taken too fast because there are too many of us. And since its earth day in April 22, why not plant a tree? One small act can make a big difference.

MOst of our paper and wood from logging comes from deforestation. Only a minute amount of it comes from company grown trees.

there are lots of different ways of getting wood for paper.

    recycled

    chips from mills

    tree farms

    etc....

i get recycled for my printer- at most large office supply stores. i also use the other side of papers so i don't use more than i need.
