My Canon PowerShot S2 IS digital camera got the dreaded "Black Screen" & Canon wants $175 to fix it.?
Something new that is comparable is about $100 more. Would I be wasting my money fixing the old one, given that this seems to be a fairly common problem with this camera? Any suggestions for a good replacement camera. I loved that camera until it died suddenly.

Google search it if you don't find the right information there is a big chance or even a small chance that it might be on google.
If you think it might be on any video like YouTube try and searching it up there.
Or maybe try getting a friend to help you.

The S2 IS isn't companies to the defective CCD undertaking that the S1 IS is. have you ever tried the DISP. button at the back of the digicam - press it to toggle by 3 or 4 menus? If the MENU icons coach yet there is not any image, then the digicam desires restoration.
