Religions have left behind far more questions than answers to us, what do you think?

If the only answer you are permitted is "god did it" then that's no answer at all, given that there's no evidence to support that.
I'd rather say "I don't know" - at least that's honest!

Thinking about a question, always causes more questions, because more knowledge allows you to ask more questions, regardless of the subject. it's one of the very few things which seems to allow "continuous growth" (economics certainly doesn't, although it's often claimed to) perhaps it's because knowledge has a mental/spiritual rather than material base
I kind of like "The only true knowledge, is that you know nothing", but unfortunately that's often interpreted as "there's no point in thinking" because you'll still know nothing, and I think that's just self defeating.

regarding what indesah had to say about Galileo . You've somewhat missed the core point of the argument against Galileo . Don't worry too much as it's often used as example of religion verses science by scientists, who perhaps prefer it if people didn't understand the finer points of the issue
Galileo had argued that the Earth didn't just go round the Sun, but he INSISTED that the Earth went round the Sun in a perfectly circular path. Now this would have been fine if the Earth did have that path, but it doesn't!. . While his model was very simple and "beautiful" it fails utterly to describe what was happening accurately. What was worse is the Geocentric model fits what is observed to happen FAR better than the Heliocentric model with circular obits (it need's to use ellipses to make it work)
I can somewhat excuse Gaileo for being so far wrong with his model as it's known his eyesight was failing badly (hmm how did he see Jupiter's moons, which suggested circular obits in the first place? I suspect someone TOLD him...) What I can't excuse is his insistence he was right, and REALITY (and therefore "God") was wrong. That's why the church had a problem with him. and it's what scientists today would also have a problem with. He'd absolutely fail peer review today.
The heliocentric model isn't a bad idea in itself, it opens up other possibilities (that Galileo would have refused to see no doubt...)
Now the implications don't stop with Galileo . What he did was demonstrate very strongly that scientists (of the time)
were prepared to teach people that the universe behaved in a way that can empirically proven NOT to be the case. Because he (and others!) were such pains, and refused to be told they were demonstratably wrong, the ARROGANCE set science back, because the church IMHO (quite reasonably) decided ALL scientists were ARROGANT, it took a long time for the Church to forget/overlook/be powerless regarding this.
See how it raises more questions...
NB I do beleive that Galileo was attempting to make progress, but he shot himself and science in the foot VERY badly in how he implemented those ideas.

Science for some has left a few unanswered questions - still unable to prove many things - ie the end of the world and so on. SOME religions have left unanswered questions. It's whether you agree with that religion or not.

Correction - Men have corrupted religion.
Go to the Quran with an open mind and a cleansed body and with a prayer to The One True God for Guidance (see John 17:3) and you may see what you have been missing out on.
Amen and Allahuakbarr!

Religion will give you no answers as they do not teach what the Bible says. The true christian congregation is "no part of the world" or its religions. God has given us the answer to all of our questions.

it sure has. it is facing even more of an up hill battle in the 21st century to be relevant because we know more stuff than we did in the past. they are constantly coming up with things to make people think that they are important to society.
like for example, in the 1600 they persecuted Galileo for merely suggesting that all all the planets and the earth revolve around the sun. it is only recently that have admitted that they were wrong in doing so. so if you placed your faith in religious thinking you would still think that the earth is flat and sun, planets and all the stars revolve around the earth. society as we know it wouldn't probably exist because it is science and technology and the curiosity to know more that got us here.
not very long ago the chief astronomer from the vatican said that we could not rule out the possibility of life on other planets. just as like earth has diverse of life than there might be plenty in the universe. he went to say that they are our brothers and sisters and free from Original sin.
see, that is my point. they are accepting the fact that religion was build on baseless foundation and from them to stay in tune they are constantly keeping in line with knowledge of the 21st century. also, what gives them right to impose their earthly religious on a superior species if there was other intelligence life out there.

Of course they leave them behind. They aren't allowed to ask any.
