Do you have any suggestions?

I have decided on a new course for my life, and that is reading more non-fiction(ish) books. So I am looking to make a list of books that include history, biography, humanities...well, really anything that is both entertaining and informative. Do you have any suggestions for this list?

Anything by Douglas Reeman. He also writes as Alexander Kent. They are all historical fiction full of information and really good stories too.

    4 books:

    1. A Death in Belmont

    2. The Perfect Storm both by Sebastien Junger

    3. Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden

    4. Cabin of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin (large book but maybe the best modern book you'll ever read about Lincoln)
