If A White Person Had Called A Black Singer (ex: Rihanna) "Black *****" Would There Have Been Bigger Backlash?

Jamie Foxx called Mile Cyrus a "*****" and the woman radio host called her "that white *****". Why is this acceptable?

I think it's BS personally it goes back to people not being able to get over slavery. Imagine the outrage if there was a WET White Entertainment Television.

It all depends on who is doing the calling and who they are talking about. I agree what Jamie Foxx done is wrong and even though he apologized, it still doesn't make it right. As a "Black Person" I never have liked seeing other people being called out of their name or race. It is hurtful and unnecessary. Now to the original question. Yes if a White person had done what Jamie done to a "Black" there would have definitely been some kind of backlash. It would have been on the news, papers, magazines and anything else they could have found.

Unfortunately, as humans we seem to not be able to have a discussion without cussing at or calling each other names.

As the saying goes "Why can't we all just love and live together in peace."

It is not unless you are scum. Scum comes in many forms, types, races, sexes, etc. Unfortunately they are trying to destroy the moral fiber of the country and doing a heck of a good job and thus you got this nothing scum floating around at the top of the bucket, but the deal is they have to go home and look in the mirror at night and thus justice is served.

most of the university have graduate classes on the sub human cultures of the United States, it is amazing and surprising. But what can you expect without supervisionn or being raised by grandparents that are communist.

Fortlunately there are still some people that have some morals and class and make up the core of the country. As far as a backlash people could care less as they have lplayed that card so much it doesn't matter anymore, just shows how dumb people can be. I could care less and actually no surprise to me or people I know. People are just sick of the lame brain stuff. I mean look who said it, duh. Ha.

Absolutely- there would have been bigger backlash had it been the other way around. It's not acceptable under any circumstances.. but for some reason if a white person speaks of a black person in ANY fashion it's looked upon as racist. I live in Australia.. and we are multicultural-- for some reason it's ok for people to put down the aussie race, but if we were to do the same about them we would be racist. Unjust!!

Color shouldn't come into it. I don't have any problem with Jamie Foxx calling her a *****. I have a huge problem with black ***** or white ***** or anything like that.

Probably because referring to women as bitches is more common in the black community. A white person calling someone a ***** is more out of character than if a black person said it, making the label more of an accusation and insult.

    freedom of speech.

its true though black comedians and radio make fun of white people more (butts, dancing, politicians) all the time but white people dont really care or cause a fuss. but once someone says something about a black girl (like imus-nappy headed hoes) theres usually a larger backlash and sharpton gets involved. it all depends on who said it,who heard it and who feels the need to cause a scene

What does this have to do with law and ethics? Nothing. '

So Jamie Foxx insulted Miley Cyrus? He should be ashamed of himself because she is kid...not because she is White.

its acceptable becasue black people think white people owe them something. Its acceptable for a black person to do it becasue they have the mentality that white people still need to pay for slavery and racism that still occurs today even though they neglect to see that racism goes both ways. Its like the n word if we say it in a playful way it the most horrible thing that could ever happen but if a black person says it its just playful.
