    3x^3 - 2x - 4 = 3(x+1)^3 - 9(x+1)^2 + 7(x+1) -5

    Result:

    (3x^3 - 2x - 4) ÷ (x + 1) = 3 (x+1)^2 - 9(x+1) + 7 - 5/(x+1)

    = 3x^2 - 3x +1 - 5/(x+1)
