In one of his books, Stephen Hawking writes that he was lecturing about the universe when a lady in the audience stood up saying: "This is wrong, the earth rests on a giant frog!"

When asked what the frog rested on, she answered: "On an endless pile of frogs!"

Then Mr Hawking goes on writing about singularities, the big bang, black holes, the big freeze.

At the end of the book, he writes: "Of course, I can't prove any part of this better than the lady with the frogs!"

That was a great but humble thought from a great mind; perhaps one of the greatest.
