Which Locking tuners on my Fernandes Vertigo X?

I have a considerable numbers of guitars, however I am extremely drawn to one in particular, a Fernandes Vertigo X. It has perfect balance, a beautiful fretboard, exquisite action, however it is somewhat limited in that it only has a single humbucker which is rather lacklustre and a single volume pot (no tone control).

I'd like to upgrade it to give it a bit more 'chunk', starting with locking tuners. How exactly do you know which tuners to order, in that, will they fit the instrument?

Update:

Thanks to the supplier of the first answer, however there is an issue with a couple of tuning pegs and those particular strings go out of tune quite quickly. So any other upgrades would be pointless if you have to keep retuning - hence the locking tuners.

Not all tuners will fit all guitars...I had an Ibanez RG something (cant remember now). But I put new tuners on it and had to manually drill hole for the pegs on the head of the guitar.

If you want more crunch, I would waiste your time with tuners. Focus on the pickup. If it only has one humbucker upgrade to like an active EMG 81 or something in that area. If you arent into active pickups Seymore Duncan are always a good place to look. Everything in turn effects the sound and power you get from your axe.

What is your tremello? What gage strings? so on and so forth. Good Luck to ya...oh and you can instal a tone switch if you are looking to do so.

The only real advantage is you can change strings quickly as you don't need to wrap the strings round the tuning post multiple times. They clamp the string in the post so you just feed it through, pull it tight and the rotation of the peg clamps it. If you know how to fit a string the proper way you should have no problem. It's usually the nut of the guitar which causes tuning problems but guitarists go out and buy locking tuners as a remedy. Put a small amount of pencil graphite in the nut slots to help combat this but be sure to clean it out when you change strings as it builds up and deadens the open strings if you don't. Then spend your cash on better pickups. It's the best investment.
