My favorite color is blue; I love blue. My bedroom is ivory and blue, but I don't like the combination anymore. I want to paint it a deep crimson red to give a more homey feeling because my furniture and bedding would match quite well with that color.

We keep the walls Navajo White in the whole house, it's not a bright white but it's not like an eggshell either. What we do to change the accessory's in the bedrooms, like the master bedroom right now is from light sky blue and white to navy blue. We change the bedding, I take the flower arrangements and redo them to compliment the color scheme. We have 4 crystal candle holders and two light blue and two dark blue candles go in them. I also make arrangements for the walls right now there are two old fashion straw hats with lace, ribbon and blue and white flowers. The curtains are changed to white semi sheers and navy blue Priscilla's, and the doilies are changed to match the lace pillow shams for the bed. We have 2 ruffled navy shams, 2 white lace shams, and the two that match the quilt. We also have a secondary set of linens and a comforter in the blues so we have a change even with in the color scheme or something gets spilled or it needs to be changed for another reason.. Doing it this way all you have to do is change the accessories etc and it looks like a totally new room, of course it also helps to rearrange the furniture. In our color schemes we can do the bedrooms in are peach, cream and cinnamon, then the yellow spring set, burgundy, pink and white. Then there are the turquoise, grey and coral pink, we have a set for Christmas with the reds and greens and a puffed quilt. One set is all autumn colors, another lavender, white and dark royal purple. One black silver grey and sea green. Of course we didn't buy them all at once but we get tired of looking at the same colors all the time. We also have the same color sets for the master bath so that it matches. We have some zippered soft side dust proof cases and when the set being changed from is all clean we put them into two of them and store them in the garage up on a shelf. It takes us about three hours to completely change a room and that includes cleaning and polishing the furniture moping the hardwood floors and putting down the two rugs one for each side of the bed that is a complementing color. One of our friends granddaughter was with her one day and she saw the bed room and told her grandmother the bed room looked like a picture out of a magazine. That sure was a nice compliment. You can also do other rooms like that. Our family room has all of our Native American collection in it so when it needs freshining we change the arrangment change the two native rugs with other ones we have and the throws and pillows. We also move the furniture around and you now have a new look to the same room. It's called cheap decorating. Maybe this will give you some ideas too.

No. Mine is that old fashioned brown paneling. I suppose I could paint it. We're planning to remodel the bedrooms next year, only rooms in the house that haven't been redone. .....I have pretty curtains, tho.
Favorite colors, lavender or a soft orange, but neither of those would do for a bedroom. Green, maybe.

I painted my room light blue about 7 years ago. At the time it was my favorite color. I am starting to get tired of it. I wanted carebear or winnie the pooh wallpaper, but my mom said it was to expensive, so we just painted it blue and, I was going to free hand paint carebears. which, I started to do but never finished. Someday, I plan to finish painting carebears on the wall.
