  • Can you explain this?

The normal temperature for the human body is 98.6, if your body is that warm why does the temperature out side not feel comfortable at temps over 80 degrees. I asked a doctor this one time and he had no answer.

  • Sept. 11 is close what are you doing?

The middle east has monitors that do nothing but watch our many hours and many channels of news looking to report things about us to the terrorists. Lets give them something to report and shake up a few nerves. Get out your flags, if you still have one for your car get it out too. Small flags on sticks can be found at dollar stores and places like Target and Walmart. The magnetic ribbon will work too. I have a seventh grader who told me she doesn't have a flag but will write 'Remember 9/11" with a bar of soap on the car windows. There are several flags on their way to her with a note telling her she can pass the others out to her friends who may not have a flag. Can't you see your local news driving around the neighborhood seeing and reporting on all the flags plus the ones on the cars. The watcher's will be reporting "Those crazy Americans are At It Again" Won't they ever forget? Lets show them a resounding NO! It will only take a couple minutes and is well worth unnerving those that are contemplating more attacks. Lugs to all (that's love wrapped in a hug for those that may have forgotten) Charlie And Ginger

  • Can I ask a favor from you?

I fell and broke my right shoulder and have come to find out I damaged the left one too I'm coping with the discomfort and when when it gets bad I'll take a half of a pain pill. The favor is that you think healing thought and send them my way. The have told me if I don't heal faster than I am I could be facing one or both total shoulder replacements. I have to admit the thought scares the devil out of me. I would sure appreciate any help with this and if you have any ideas on what kind of goodies/snacks is good to eat in bed when you can only hold a spoon etc in my left hand and it gets rather messy. Trying to do with out to many crumbs too. Thanks in advance and the best goodies suggestion gets the points.

  • Does anyone remember "The Hypothesis Club" in San Antoino Texas?

In mid 70's it was a off limits club for military, of course very few ever read the list. I can't remember what street it was on. Any great tales?

  • Having a bad day can anyone think of something to make me laugh?

We are animal people and feed all the strays around us, then as we earn their trust we take them get them spayed or neutered, and all their shots. This morning one of our furry friends and a car tangled, our furry friend was hurt beyond saving and I am so down. I need something to make me laugh so my heart can heal.

  • Does any one else follow the listings of earthquakes & what's your opinion?

I get notices of all earthquakes over a 2.5 (Richter) there seems to be way to many small ones called clusters. In one area of CA where my sister lives there were 99 from 1.1 to 4.4 in one week. There are also quakes happening in areas that are normally very quiet. Yellowstone National Park, CA is dancing all over the place north, central and southern, Mexico is getting in on the action too as well as there being quakes all over the world. Today there was a 4.1 almost on the border of New Mexico and Colorado. That's an odd one. We had a couple small ones here in Texas. I'm beginning to wonder what is going on, if it walks like a duck! Anyone interested www.ens@usgs.gov will get you all the info. on the US as well as the world.

  • How many was watching the Memorial ceremonies on CNN this morning?

Don't it seem really strange that the coast guard were chasing this boat on the Potomac right were the presidents motorcade had to cross it, reports of ten shots being fired at this unauthorized vessel, and now suddenly it was a training exercise and there were no shots fired. Do they think the public is that stupid. There must of been shots fired for someone to have counted ten. You don't count silence and you don't have three armed Coast Guard boats chasing a unidentified boat all over the area between bridges that are in a restricted zone. Watching the live event and then seeing the "news video" it sure appears to have been "edited". Any one else think this is strange but normal Washington garbage?

  • You are being sent back to the middle ages, what 10 things will you want to take.?

We had a conversation with friends about this one evening when we were all bored. The answers went from realistic to absurd. One gal said loads of deodorant soap because they didn't bathe often back then. One guy said he'd take extra batteries and his lap-top and show them the movies of Madre. What are you going to take give me 9 realistic and one really wild one. (Can you believe they suggest parents and parenting for a catagory?)

  • Does anyone have an idea?

I have been having the most severe itching in my lower legs, it is the kind of itch that you can not ignore. There is no rash, I do have some edema but had the itching long before. Sometimes I'll go months before the next batch of itching. Heat, nor ice help, lotions, over the counter itching creams do nothing. I have a doctor appointment later this month but the itching is driving me crazy now. Any Ideas out there Thanks

  • Did I get the wrong impression?

I only caught a bit of the Oprah show yesterday, there was a woman on that said she at 40 years old decided she wanted to have a relationship with a woman. Did I get the wrong impression or has Oprah done us a great disservice by airing a show that will give more homophobes more ammo to say that being a lesbian or gay is by choice only and that we should be able to change back to straight.

  • Does any one find that these?

The new box faced avatars are offensive, I feel like I am trying to communicate with someone in a box almost like they are hiding behind a mask. They could have at least made them different colors. We have enough reasons to stay hidden but at least our avatars are a way to show yourself as you are or as you wish you are. (mine is young, don't I just wish I could loose about twenty years). I know that this is rather a strange thing to be bothered by, but what the hey I've always been a bit on the strange side.

  • Does anyone know how to figure out?

I need to know how to figure out how big of a generator to buy to have on hand during power outs like the 14 days after Hurricane Ike. I want it to run our fridge, a small freezer and a window unit air conditioner as well as a couple lights or a tv. Will I need to buy two? I'm asking in the seniors category because I know we all learned it school but that little dab of memory seems to be blank.

  • I could sure use some help with a big anniversary any ideas?

We are going to be celebrating 30 years together not to long from now. I need some ideas that are not to hard on the pocket we're both on fixed incomes. I figure if I get some ideas I can work on on saving enough money as it's about 5 1/2 months. She's not into things like parties. It's going to be hard to top her Christmas gift, she has always dreamed of having a Grandfather clock, she got one. There really isn't anything else I can think of that she wants so I'm open to ideas.

  • Does any one remember the movie?

Macumba Love, it was done in 3-D and had to be in the 60's. I remember it because we were suppose to be at the theater across the street to see and age appropriate movie. This was a really strong movie of magic and Voodoo, a snake god and the one thing I can still to this day remember very clearly. The woman had this guy tied to something like a trellis and was going to do him in, She took a long thin pin (needle) and as she got closer the camera went to the reflection of the pin coming close and closer to his eye, suddenly the screen erupts in red (blood) and being in 3-D it looked like you were going to have blood all over you. It was wild, my friend I talked in going to see it wouldn't talk to me anymore because she had nightmares for weeks and she told her parents. Of course they told my grandmother, she acted mad but asked all kinds of questions about the movie. She didn't think I knew her and her best friend went to see it that weekend she made the mistake of keeping the 3-D glasses. I asked here because we seniors should remember things like that, 3-D was real new back then.
