Why is Kate McCann appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show in the US but never bothered to go to Portugal?

The Mccann's made a lot of money out of the Americans when Madeline initially went "missing", i guess Katie hopes to get a few more cheques out of the yanks. As for going to Portugal, well i suppose Kate hopes to continue to avoid some of "those" questions...

Better perks appearing on a TV show than facing up to your neglect in Portugal. Reconstruction - memories might be jogged and the truth might come out and the McCanns would not want that.
