Defragmenting Drive C?
I am in the process of defragmenting Drive C. I did it a couple of weeks ago and it took 36 hours to defragment. I am doing it again now and so far it has been over 24 hours and it is still not done. Is there a simpler way to defragment Drive C? How long does it take for you to defragment your Drive C? How often do you defragment your Drive C?
I have the Melinium Edition.

Thats an awefully long time. Are you using Vista? If so its not even possible to see the defrag progress as there is no visual display.
Why dont you set the trial version of Diskeeper in automatic mode. Its much faster and more efficient than the slow windows program. It also defrags really well under low free space.

The default Windows utility is extremely slow. Download Advanced System Care, and you'll be able to Defrag it in less than two hours. For me, it usually takes about 30 or 40 hours to Defrag, but with Advanced System Care Pro it Defrags, Optimizes, and removes Spyware from your C Drive all within 2 hours. Message me for info on how to get the Pro version (instead of the Free version)...for free.

That is exceptionally slow. Check to make sure the drive isnt almost full. If it is, then it wont have much room to move files around during the defragmentation.
Go download CCleaner here: http://www.ccleaner.com/
Its a free tool that cleans out all the cache and temporary files from your system. Lets face it, your computer is probably spending a lot of time defragmenting temporary files and junk that it doesnt need to.

I have vista and xp, and it takes around 20 minutes, I do it about once a month, if you have one of the above operating systems yours should take the same time, make sure no other progs are running when you defrag.
