Is Internet Explorer 8 worth downloading?

I.E. 8 has many new features compared to I.E. 6, but it's still abit bugging and have compatibility issues with some site since it is still new. You shouldn't have to uninstall I.E. 6 and you'll keep your favorites.

You should download it if you really want those feature, if not, you should wait a while until compatibility issues and the bugs has been fixed.

No. I don't think so. I was among the first to download Ie 8. But all was a waste of time. The Internet explorer 8 was not compatible with many of the website which I had to use daily. Also it was hanging up.

Looks were nice but not worth it. Use firefox or opera instead.

The short answer is yes. IE 6 is a notoriously bad browser with several bugs and many security problems.

Microsoft is pretty good with their upgrading path. You will not need to uninstall IE 6 and it should automatically import your Favorites.

Alternatively, Firefox is a very good browser.

Reconsider NOT installing IE8...so so slow. Had an error message every time I opened and went on the internet every since I downloaded it. It was so bad that I changed Browsers to Firefox...so much faster....And no, you do not need to uninstall IE6, the program does it own cleaning before installation.

I don't use internet explorer as i don't like it..i like to use goggle chrome or mozila(mozila is also bad now)
