How does a Ref decide to kick someone out of a faceoff circle?

There are a couple of good reasons why such will occur. One is if the 2 players lining up don't do so properly. The second reason is for a center taking the face-off to go in too soon and cause the ref to blow his whistle right away deemed an unfair face-off and then re-drop the puck. The last instance I can think of would be when a player/s encroach/es the circle and or immediate face-off area.

I believe we trust Luber's knowledge for the technical and overall experience in questions regarding Officiating.

One of the players has to put their stick down last, and if he cheats, then he's kicked out of the circle and someone else has to come in.

Referees do not kick players out of the face off circle. Linesmen do that.
