Firefox and I.E. 6..please advise?

I have I.E. 6 and would like to download I.E. 8 but will wait until the bugs are worked out. Meanwhile, would like to download Firefox as

browser. I have heard that FireFox 3 is not as compatible with I.E. 6 as FireFox 2 is. Any truth to this?

I have lots of experience using I.E. v6 and 7. I have used Firefox religiously since version 2. I love version 3, it is the best. I highly recommend Firefox 3.

Here is a link that has numerous Firefox 3 help articles and video tutorials.

I.E is the most used and also the most recommended by most of the websites. But it's a hell lot slow.

Firefox: Second to IE, their releases are pretty stable and continuously updated.

Google Chrome: Look out for this one, a great one if you want performance, but alas most of the websites are yet not fully compatible with some of the websites.

My wish to be able to use Chrome, but hav to wait till all the websites are Chrome compatible.

The Verdict: If you looking for just a temporary solution go for Firefox.

    I don't know about FireFox 3 vs. FireFox 2.

However, IE is in general compatible with more websites than FireFox is.

(IE is slow as hell though.)

What exactly do you mean by 'compatible'? I would heartily recommend Google Chrome with it's slick interface and extreme speed!
