Did you see perez hilton get owned when he tried to pull a gotcha question on Ms. California bout gay marriage?

I think he should have known better than to ask this question at a beauty pageant. And although I don't agree with her answer, I still say she didn't deserve to be put in that situation.

He embarrassed himself, and she handled him very well.

Perez doesn't speak for me as a gay person or represent me in any way, shape or form. He should stick to what he does best. Talking about nothing.

Perez didn't get owned, Miss California was a coward. She is obviously not against gay marriage and she fumbled with the question but she realized in the end it was better to be safe. Her answer like all of the other answers didn't make much since "I am glad we live in a country that can choose" that implies she has nothing against it, she just was to cowardice too come out and say it. Those ultra-conservative jerks at least have the balls to say that they believe it's just plain wrong.

She said, "thats just how I was raised."

How is that a justification for her viewpoint, or anyones for that matter.

What If I was racist and somone asked me why I belive its ok for me to be? Can I just say "thats how I was raised"

Or if I am sexist and always belittle women? Can I just say "thats how I was raised"

I have heard people say "thats just what I was raised to believe" as a defense/justification for their stance on gay marriage. How does that make it ok? You dont think for yourself?

When you get older you reevaluate old ideas you were taught and choose to continue believing them based on their own merit or you realize they are incorrect and you let them go. Give me a real reason for why gay marriage shouldnt be legal or GTFO.

Yeah, I think he wanted her to say it was okay and that all states should follow behind Vermont as far as same sex marriage goes. I'm proud of her for not telling people what they wanted to hear. Everyone has their right of opinion. Her opinion on gay marriage should be heard just as much as supporters of gay marriage want to be heard.

How ignorant can one be. Such discrimination should be outlawed completely. Those are the type of answers that bring the stereotypes to women who participate in these pageants. Such an empty answer to such an important question should have gotten her booed off stage by the judges themselves.

it was priceless--I admire Miss Calif. for her honesty, but that may be the reason she didn't win. Miss NC's was such an easy question
