what helps make your youtube channel popular ?
there are a lot of good channels out there, but dont most of them seem like they aren't really doing anything too amazing yet are still funny ? i mean the most popular person on youtube is fred, and he is just a disappointment because he is 14, my age, and he acts like that and i just think it would erode your dignity away. some channels are really funny and deserve to be higher in the ranks, and i was wondering what makes a channel popular, cuz it seems like it doesnt take much.

post videos as responces to relevant and popular videos.
Have a really good quality of video, planning, filming, & editing.
don't spam people or ask sub4sub, that makes people not want to subscribe.
post regular videos.
get to know other youtubers, and then they may mention you in their videos.

you see fred waz on national t.v. which gave his show a major publicity boost but if you send out emails that say forward to all your friends and just put your show out there you are sure to get more viewwers

well, making your channel popular, also comes with making ur vids popular... Post video reply's to other not VERY popular videos, but moderate ones with like 150k - <minus sign) views...

I don't know how they start, or how they get so dang popular. I guess it's just a lot of advertising and posting valuable videos.

sometimes only a certain group of people like a kind of video. a large group of people like fred's videos. im not one of them quite frankly he sucks. check out my account nickosan6.
