Yes. You've got to love those open-minded Leftists.

Hilton also said that the crowd booed Miss California for her answer but if you watch the video she was clearly cheered.

  • All I can say is that gays should be thankful of Iowa and Vermont coz that's as much as they are gonna get after this saga. These gay people always get their knickers in a twist and get touchy if anyway says anything against their beliefs. If anything it shows how insecure they are. Miss Cali was asked a dumb question which deserved the answer it got. She should have one but it was proven by Billy Bush

on twitter that Perez score put her down. Miss Cali stood up for what was right and she should be applauded for it.

I think the question was inappropriate, since he has a personal interest in the subject. Pagents should stear clear from topics such as this in order to prevent discimination.

If it was a straight judge asking a question like "explain why Prop 8 was a good thing in CA," everyone would be up in arms. But apparently, there is a double standard.

And as for Perez's little hissy fit on YouTube ... meh. It's just one more reason why I'm not a fan of his.

I looked up the results to that because I certainly didn't watch it. I'm familiar with pageants and it's clear that she wouldn't have won anyway.

    1. He wasn't the only judge so his score wasn't the only one that counted. Even if he scored her unfairly on that other judges had scores that counted too.

    2. She placed behind the winner on swimsuit (3rd) and evening gown (2nd) too. You can't win without placing first in at least one of the events. The winner placed 1st in both those other events. I'm sorry the people who are all worked up about this don't understand how a multi-event competition works, but she didn't lose because of that.

Even though I disagree with what Miss California said, I think it was an unfair question. No matter how she answered, a lot of people would have been offended. Once the question was asked, she had no chance, and that wasn't fair.

If he based his vote solely on the fact that he disagreed with her stand on gay marriage, he is a low person who should never have been asked to judge the contest. His bias and personal opinions about social issues should not enter into his judgment of the contestants.

Miss California is getting 2x the publicity and will be remembered far longer than the winner.

It's the winner who lost out, nobody knows or cares about her.

What kind of freedom of expression it is ?

You are allowed to say only what they want to promote.

Nobody is allowed to have her/his own opinion, but should surrender to

the forces of moral bankruptcy and ethical abyss.

What her views had to do with her looks and figures ?

Such incidents often make me doubt, if USA is a free country.

She has her convictions, and he has his. He asked this question because it was an important issue for him. She answered with truth and that should be respected. I just hope he didn't do it to cause a scene or to single out people.

Pageant contestants in my point of view shouldn't be asked hot button issues, because it will cause frustration and division among viewers, the winner will have to represent the whole nation, we can't have division within our candidate in that manner.

He apparently has done a lot of damage to himself... and shown who he really is... in that sense it's good.

And for Miss California, it will come out good for her in time.
