Is this normal.. i just got off birth control?
I stopped my birth control febuary 15th. And started my period on the 20th(this was still influenced by my patch). Then in april I started my period on the 16th and it lasted about 9 days. But it was normal. Then I started in the 16th of this month, but it wasnt normal. It would go from being really heavy one day to the next being just spotting? it only lasted about 5 days. but only 2-3 were heavy, Is this normal when coming off of birth control? When should my periods get normal, and stay normal?
I was on the patch if this helps at all.
my husband and I are not"trying" but if it happens it happens.

It's most likely normal. After stopping b.c. your system usually gets all screwed up. It can get back to normal within a month or in some cases take a year. you never know. I wouldn't be too concerned, but I would ask my GYN.

It sounds like it is the patch. I used to be on the patch. Once I ran out and the same thing happened to me. It is very normal for birth control to mess with your period. I am on the pill now, and I get spotting if I am like 4 hours late in taking it. I have tried several bc methods though and of all of them, the patch seemed to cause the most irregular bleeding. Your period should be normal within 3 months of stopping the patch.

I just got of birth control also. the pill. this is only my first month off. I would say your body is trying to readjust itself to it normal cycle. Your period tho does sound normal with the heavy bleeding and then light bleeding. but usually it's lighter at the end or beginning. Good luck.

Ya, it is normal I believe. Medications like that tend to mess with your period. Your body is probably trying to get used to setting it's own schedule. Sometimes it takes a bit for your body to figure out it is getting no additional help. ;) Hope it regulates soon! I know how frustrating it is!

Very common. My cycle improve into incredibly screwed up for the 1st couple of months. I had a very heavy era to start with that lasted 7 or 8 days (improve into yuck!), then the subsequent time I have been given my era, it improve into incredibly gentle and lots shorter. do not rigidity!
