All the roads to hell shut down after I spoke with the darkness for 40 something years. How did this happen?

How did it happen? Perhaps it is because your own compass has guided you there. Maybe it is that, after traveling a path not entirely of your choosing, you followed what probably seemed to be an even more difficult road towards freedom. While this path might have been rocky and difficult, you were able to see, hear and experience things with your own eyes and ears and have grown along the way. Yes, it was your choice and I am guessing that it had to be entirely YOUR path.

When we are in the midst of things, we often do not have time or are otherwise unable to fully incorporate what we have learned and grown from. Often, it is when some of the dust begins to settle, or when we "see the light at the end of the tunnel" after a long journey, that we are able to feel fully what we have gained from our experiences.

I'm wondering, NOFEAR, if some of this might apply to you now. If so, it is a good thing, a real breakthrough, and you should now have the opportunity to take these things with you to grow further towards becoming, more fully, the person who defines you as you see yourself.

Another way of considering this might be that you are graduating from the school of hard knocks. Tolerance, humility, and fortitude are all qualities that one usually learns through experiences that require gaining inner wisdom and strength. If this is true, you have earned these qualities and now that you have you can grow them into a prefect flower of imperfection and grace.

Your "Valley of Humility" appears to have been a journey to "Beauty".

I, on the other-hand, had to crawl out of The Beast of the Abyss (War). At which time, I slowly crawled through The Valley of Humility, and became free of the self. Thanks for sharing your Beauty.

The most important advice I can give you is to, "Hang on to Him for dear life. Allow no one or nothing to permeate this awesome epiphany of His presence in your life! And believe me they will try, at every angle, around every corner, like a lion waiting in prey!

Seek God, from the moment you wake every day. He will give you everything needed to stave off the negative.

Perhaps you woke up because of the realization that darkness is simply the absence of light. There is no such thing as darkness or hell. Only light is. The age old message of “Awaken thou that sleepiest” was not referring to night time sleep. In deep sleep consciousness fades-away. In dream state of consciousness awareness is hindered by symbolism. The so called wakening state is a combination of unconsciousness and mind created dream state. When the separateness of the false ego is dropped wakeful-alertness changes your reality. Authentic tolerance and humility happen on its own accord.

Dear NOFEAR, I sincerely advise you one more time. If you continue to look for breakthroughs you will be looking for another on your death bed. Seek and you will not find. You are perfect as you are but sleep-walking. To the same degree of losing the idea of self is the same degree of wakening and discovering contentment. On a personal note, fifty years ago I volunteered at the Hebetate of Humanity and visiting elder senior citizens on their death beds. I got so care filed I lost myself in the effort but not completely. Asharishi yoga has brought happiness beyond description.

The road to hell is hardly closed. I can be in Massachusetts in about an hour from where I live!
