War crimes, Is the investigation over interrogation a useful distraction from Bush's "supreme crime"?
The International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, which followed World War II, called the waging of aggressive war "essentially an evil thing...to initiate a war of aggression...is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole."

Not as far as I'm concerned. But I will take what I can get for now and hope there is more offered up in the subsequent days and months. One of my contacts had suggested to me that President Obama is being very careful about how he allows this all to proceed. By allowing a ground swell to develop until there is no choice but to prosecute these guys. At the time, I thought he was giving the president an 'out'. But maybe he was onto something there?

A. Bush can't wage war all on his own. He had plenty of accomplices in Congress.
B. By your rationale, each member of Congress who voted to give him the authority to go into Iraq should be tried as well. This would include the current Vice President and Secretary of State. So if that's an avenue the libs want to pursue, have at it.

Like Cheney says, unclassify and release all documents. then release ALL stories that our media did not report on. Such as the 150 T55 tanks still sitting in Tajikastan that were supposed to roll into Iraq and take the oil. That would have put Iran and Russia in the drivers seat - right next door to Saudi Arabia. While you are at it. Check out Tajikastan and see why those russian tanks are sitting there.....this small country is a persian colony.
More homework for all - Why are there air strips for the military built in northern Iraq??????? What has this US media not reported on this ????? If FOX is so right winged, why have they not reported on these air strips.......any military personel out there...who will volunteer an answer on this one???????

He lied his **** off. He got Colin Powell to lie his **** off. The CIA, the FBI and every other spook in Washington lied THEIR arses off. Then he got MI5 and ASIO in on the act.
They should ALL be on f*cking trial!! Blair Bush and Howard in the dock. And an international panel of judges sitting presiding over them, prosecuting them. And an international jury weighing the evidence.
And an internationally overseen gaol where they can rot for eternity..

The following is an open letter to my fellow good citizens of America and the World.
The presidency of The United States of America is too important a position to be used in a callous and cavalier manner. Its prestige, as well as the reputation of the United States has been done great disservice and damage by the administration of George W. Bush, and steps must be taken to restore our honor and our place in international society. Thus:
George W. Bush should be tried for treason.
He instituted the use of "pre-emptive war" for the first time in history.
He then took us to that war under false pretenses.
He did so, with NO strategy for exiting.
He wasted excessive American blood through incompetent mismanagement of that war.
He caused excessive suffering of the Iraqi people due to preventable damage to their infrastructure, which he failed to anticipate or stop.
He damaged our military readiness in a number of ways:
1. He extended tours, though advised against it for the good of the troops.
2. He utilized a "back door draft" and refused to allow discharges to deserving troops.
3. He lacked the courage to institute a draft, even though he caused it to be sorely needed.
4. He required more tours, as many as 5, when draftees would have only had to go once.
5. He therefore damaged our ability to maintain an all-volunteer force, by treating them worse than draftees.
6. He has weakened our forces to the point that we are almost defenseless if attacked.
7. He made it possible for Russia to start flexing its military muscle, because of our weakened status.
He failed to preserve protect & defend the constitution by using warrantless wiretaps and torture.
He alienated our international friends, & gave aid and comfort to our enemies via incompetent 'cowboy diplomacy', thus making it easier to recruit MORE terrorists.
He 'outed' an active CIA agent during a time of war!
THAT SINGLE ACT is an act of treason, and should be handled accordingly.
He should be tried for treason, and if found guilty, given the harshest penalty allowed.
In time of war, that is death.
Thus, the world would be shown that we take our responsibilities seriously.
May God Bless America, and forgive us our sins.
Please make us worthy of respect again.
Amen

In case you hadn't noticed "we" ran the nuremberg trials and by today's standards of the left (ACLU, etc.) they were incredibly unfair and would have been condemned to say the least.
To the Victors go the spoils...put another way, the winner gets to write the history books.

No, it IS a way for this administration to keep blaming B ush's administration however. Hmmmmm
Should this administration open pandora's box on this issue, it IS and will be a very slippery slope. I am against it. They did what they had to do at the time. I must also say that they counseled many, many times I MIGHT ADD, to get guidelines. Who are these people going to go after??? I for one am damn glad this Country has not been hit since 9/11.

I think it is a start. We need to expose the decision making process to public scrutiny.
