I added my laptop to my home wireless local network, why the hell is my laptop not connecting to any networks?

I even searched for available wireless networks in the library and none came up, is this normal? I added my laptop to my local wireless network and the laptop just won't find any networks in the area...

Update:

It's an msi wind. u900

check to see if your network device is disabled, go to control panel > network connections > then see whats disabled. then look on the side of your laptop to see if your lan switch is off.

You must be using an alternate wireless management software for your wireless networks. Try using windows to manage your wireless network. Go start menu, click run, type services.msc, locate for the Wireless Zero configuration, double click it, choose automatic and click start.

Your network card must be spoiled. Use an external network card(usb) and see whether it works. If it works then its a problem with your card or else its a problem with your computer, connection of the card to the com, or a software issue.

does it for public use or for admin only. pls check. (wireless connection)

reinstall driver, pls sometime it worth it...

make sure, if there is a button to switch on your wireless adapter at your laptop, turn it on.

you probably bumped a switch on the side that turns wireless on and off, just look around... it happens all the time
