Is it cheating if it is talking and texing and on line with someone and hiding it from your spouse.?

Any relationship you have with another person that you feel you have to hide from your spouse is wrong. The context of the communication dictates cheating, but its still wrong. Anything you have to hide from your spouse can't be good.

Yep. Is it as bad as physical contact? Probably not, but it fills the same need. Part of the attraction of cheating is the thrill, the risk of getting caught. If you can't be intimate with your spouse, break it off and start over, otherwise figure out how to get what you need within the marriage. Just be honest.

YES! It is why because your doing it behind the other person back and not openly talk about it first with your spouse. How would you like it if the tables were turned? Always put the shoes on of the other person first if your not sure about some thing in life...

reverse it and look at it as if your spouse were talking and texting to someone and hiding it from you---would you view it as cheating? The hiding is what makes it look dubious. If it really is innocent then there is no reason to hide.

Someone might consider it cheating it depends on what your hiding and why your hiding it and whats being said or done in chat. It might not be cheating at all and besides who cares anymore anyway everybody cheats if not physically then in their own way. Its human nature to want what you dont have.

if you are talking about things that are supposed to be shared ONLY with your spouse or girlfriend, than yes, its cheating. Its not physical, but its emotional, and sometimes that hurts all the more. If you are looking for something they are not giving you, then you need to talk to them....

The hiding part makes it cheating, yes.

If a spouse is doing this, then they are clearly unhappy in the marriage. It is cheating morally, but not in a court of law.
