Is my processor good enough?

I want to get the sims 3 for my computer when it comes out, the minimum requirement is 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent, I have a 1300 MHz intel PM processor. Is mine good enough or do I need a new one?

The 1.3 GHz Pentium M processor is *slightly* below the equivalent to the 2 GHz Pentium 4 processor. The CPU isn't the only thing to worry about.

The video card (GPU) ultimately determines if you can run Sims 3. Pentium M laptops of the era come with the integrated Intel GMA900 or GMA950 or dedicated GeForce & Radeon GPUs whose memory ranged less than 128 MB. Although they could run Sims 2 just fine, they wouldn't run Sims 3 very well as it's below the system requirements.

Source(s): Pentium M 1.5 GHz is the equivalent to the Pentium 4 2.0 GHz.
