My doctor took my temperature and said it was 37.....?
I don't know what that means. I thought it was supposed to be 98.6. Could someone please tell me what my temperature was in my language, which is the 98.6 language. Thank you.
She was an RN and thank you for all your answers. Some of them are pretty entertaining.

this is meant to be between 36.5 and 37.5. continuously take a new child's temperature rectally. All different procedures are far much less solid and supply you a fake experience that each and every little thing is fantastic while incredibly this is no longer. What you do is this: a million. in case you have an previous formed thermometer, shake it down. If this is digital, turn it on and wait until it supplies the sign that this is waiting to degree. 2. keeping up toddler's legs, insert the tip of the thermometer. careful, each and every now and then this motives toddler to poop! So have tissues or a nappy under toddler's bum. 3. shop the thermometer in there, no longer keeping too tightly, until it stops turning out to be. A digital thermometer many times supplies a beep while carried out. the reason to no longer carry too tightly onto the thermometer is that a toddler can unexpectedly squirm, and this is extra suitable if the thermometer falls out with a unexpected flow than while this is forced extra effective in or at an attitude. 4. study temperature.

Your doctor measured your temperature in Celsius. "Your language" is Fahrenheit. 37 deg. Celsius = 98.6 Fahrenheit.
You are totally normal!
LOL at the repondent who said it should be measured in Fahrenheit. The VAST majority of the world uses Celsius.

He used the Celsius scale instead of Farenheit.
98.6 is roughly 37 degrees celsius.

He meant Celsius. 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit is 37 degrees celsius. Which is normal body temperature. They are both used, but Fahrenhiet is used in U.S. and Celsius is used in science and other countries.

I can almost guarantee he was using Celsius rather than Fahrenheit. 37 degrees Celsius is equal to 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
