Is the Lucky Bamboo plant really bamboo?

    Not according to wikipedia...

    Dracaena sanderiana

    It is marketed in the developed world as a Chinese decorative plant "Lucky Bamboo" (although unrelated to Bamboo and not native to Asia), propagated from short cuttings, usually in water.

    no, its part of the lily family. if you want to be positive you could look at the name and figure out the kingdom, order, phylum, class,ect
