The French are rather traditional about clothing. For business wear a light suit or a light jacket and skirt with a plain top and court shoes with small heels. For out of business hours take two or three light dresses, or slacks and tops. It will be warmish (around 20 degrees celsius), but not too hot, unless there is a heat wave. Perhaps a shawl or a cardigan for the evenings that can be fresh. Pack a swimming costume, a towel, and a pair of sandal type shoes if you have some leisure time during the day and want to go to the beach, if it is sunny.

There is plenty to see and to do. Nice itself is an attraction: the famous Promenade des Anglais, lovely art deco facades , diverse shopping, splendid dining. There are several spots that a tourist simply must see, such as the Cours Saleya Flower Market, the Matisse Museum, ancient Roman ruins, the Russian Cathedral and more. The lovely Provencal outback is really worth the drive if you are hiring a car, and the lavender fields will be in bloom at that time of the year, or you can drive along the coast, which is spectacular, to neighbouring towns that are less formal and very picturesque.

Oh, by the way, that area is known for suddden and heavy showers . The forecast for next week is poor with showers throughout, so perhaps it would be a good idea to pack one of those collapsible umbrellas in case things have not improved by then.

Have a wonderful time whilst you are there!

Wow you are lucky. We have a home there and it is a fantastic place. Weather will be nice but in the evening a cardigan would be good. Lots of beautiful shops, an dold town with lots of shops, malls etc, promenade des anglais (beach) is beautiful), monaco is 20 mins away by bus and only a few euros and worth a see. The trams have started up again and you can buy all day ticket and go lots of places. There is a little train that takes you sight seeing, only an hour or so and nice to see everything. Have fun x
