Would you enjoy reading a 12 book series?
The plot changes from book to book and its about different characters in each book. You may catch characters from other books make appearances. But the view points is from two different characters per book.

If I love the series, I'd want as many books as I could get. Even if the series features different main characters each book, whatever holds the books together as a series would keep me interested.
By the way, Catherine Coulter's FBI series started out somewhat like that, with different main characters every book. They all kind of came together several books in the series, but it's one example of what you're thinking of doing.

I think it would depend a lot on how well it's written, and what kind of genre it is, but aside from that there's no reason I wouldn't enjoy it. However, you do tend to read the sequel of a story that has the same main character as the first book because the reader connect with the 1st character and leaves you wanting to see what happens to that person next. But if the stories are good, I'd definitely pick them up!

I would have nothing wrong with reading 12 books in a series.
In fact, i think that i'd actually love to - because you'd get so close to the world created. But it also does depend on the plot, if it's too confusing, or not very interesting, then i'm not sure i could stand 12! :L
good luck.

Twelve book series is indeed long. But if each book is written well, the plot keeps me excited and the characters are poeple the readers can relate to, I think I will do enjoy reading it. In short, yes, if the author knows how to do his or her job very well.

Yes, but only if the author knows what they are doing. If their writing skills are excellent and there are no stupid, annoying mary-sue characters and dumb plots...yes i would love. becuz that way, if i rly enjoyed them, i'd look forward to reading more.

What the first poster said. Length and devices aside, most readers just want a good story.

It depends on what it is about and the style of writing. It also would have to be written well.
