If you're asking what does the word, “Bible,” mean, the short answer is that our English term is derived from the Greek noun, ‘biblos,’ which, at the time the New Testament was written, referred to a scroll. Ancient scrolls were usually made out of sheets of papyrus sewn together. Many English translations of the New Testament render the Greek term as, “book,” rather than as, “scroll,” (e.g., Matthew 1:1; Mark 12:26; Luke 3:4; 20:42; Acts 1:20; 7:42; 19:19; Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:5; 20:15). Each of the books of the New Testament would have originally been penned on individual scrolls. In contemporary English, the word, “Bible,” is used collectively to refer to the various books that make up the Old and New Testaments.

According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, the word bible[4] is from Latin biblia, traced from the same word through Medieval Latin and Late Latin, as used in the phrase biblia sacra ("holy book" - "In the Latin of the Middle Ages, the neuter plural for Biblia (gen. bibliorum) gradually came to be regarded as a feminine singular noun (biblia, gen. bibliae, in which singular form the word has passed into the languages of the Western world.").[5] This stemmed from the Greek term τὰ βιβλία τὰ ἅγια (ta biblia ta hagia), "the holy books", which derived from βιβλίον (biblion),[6] "paper" or "scroll," the ordinary word for "book", which was originally a diminutive of βύβλος (byblos, "Egyptian papyrus"), possibly so called from the name of the Phoenician port Byblos from whence Egyptian papyrus was exported to Greece.
Biblical scholar Mark Hamilton states that the Greek phrase Ta biblia ("the books") was "an expression Hellenistic Jews used to describe their sacred books several centuries before the time of Jesus,"[7] and would have referred to the Septuagint.[8] The Online Etymology Dictionary states, "The Christian scripture was referred to in Greek as Ta Biblia as early as c.223."
im guessing you wanted the etymology?

Bible is a book that is considered authoritative in it's field.
Others have given you the etymology. Some have given you explanations of what it means using the initial letters. Others have given you a straight definition of what bible means from the dictionaries (like myself). I do not envy your task in trying to find best answer for they are all good and they are all right.

It doesn't 'stand' for anything. It is derived from the Greek & basically means 'library'. The Bible is made up of 66 different books. It is related to the word 'bibliography' - a list of books.
