She was also Maude, an often brazen, out spoken character that originated on All In The Family. I much prefered her as Dorothy on Golden Girls.

"Maude"-and she was fantastic in that show. If I remember correctly that was a spin off from "All In The Family". I'm sorry to hear she's passed.
