Winky faces or fake 14-year olds?

I think there are more 14 year olds pretending to be older, actually.

Just a wild guess, but probably the latter. And most likely, for the reasons you stated. It sure seems to me like, there are an awful lot of users who change age from one question to the next. And perhaps more people who claim to be 14 year olds on this site than actualy human beings at that age with internet capability.

I only see a lot of the "winky" style avatars in particular categories. Usually categories that do not appeal to me in the first place. Although the do seem to creep into other categories in little three-week spurts.

Of course, I haven't really been paying close attention to either that closely, on a regular basis. So it's sheer guesswork on my part.

sadly, many 14yearold pregnant ppl are out there today. there are many difficulties, the most obvious being: 1. Financial difficulties 2. Having more responsiblity than you are ready for 3. dumping the aforesaid responsibility onto your parents 4. And if not giving up your life, at least putting it on hold. the lesser known difficulties: 1. The earlier you start being sexually active( and you are that when you get pregnant), the more likely you are to divorce 2. the more likely you are to have an affair while married 3. The more likely you are to live in poverty 4. The more likely your you will be unhappy in marriage 5. Oddly, most people want to marry virgins but dont practice that. You may scare off someone who is a potential spouse but he/she wants to marry a virgin 6. If the couple does marry, they arent going to be able to go out and work. School messes up, you drop out 7. And you are more likely to break up with ur b/gf before the baby or you get married or something along the lines of that. Hope that this input helped some!

Until Y!A changed the blank profile avatar to that baloney cutout faced thing I didn't have one but just looking at baloney face was getting annoying.

Laughter is the answer I continually seek from Yahoo! (and the occasional science fact or gem of wisdom) and from y'all.

It seem like what I mainly see now are the gray blank faces.

Bad when I wasreally active here, an avatar was a source of pride. You tried to be original or just use your photograph.

Except for special occasions (St. Paddys Day, Christmas, Pi Day and such), U jsut use my real photograph and alway have. . .

Naaaaaa, I actually just used the winky-faced avatar, because the other ones make my avatar look like a Picasso painting.

grownups pretending to be 14 years old - do people do that? i mean do a LOT of people do that, cos obviously theres the odd freak

Or even option 3 - that the bl**dy avatar design thingy is so awkward to use that people just give up trying to make it look anything like reality!
