Devout Scottish Catholic Susan Boyle stuns the world.....What's you view?

She certainly made those who listened to her, mouths drop. Didn't she. Maybe people will think twice before judging someone before they know them. She was a great example of talent hidden. A talent given to her by God. She's beautiful! God bless her.

Sadly much of her image was staged and not true. But that does nothing to change that FANTASTIC voice. At least millions of young people had a chance to hear what a truly artistic singer's voice sounds like. We have a young Mexican American lady who is a cantor in our Church even tho her singing Style is different than Susan's is every bit as beautiful to listen too. And to think there are thousands of Susan's and the girl in my Church singing every Sunday..GOD BLESS SUSAN and all the other beautiful voices only heard by a few.

I have real respect for Susan Boyle. What irks me is how, if she had stepped on a stage a hundred years ago, none of this kerfuffle about her looks would have been an issue.

Our society is now so shallow that a middle-aged woman, with full eyebrows, steps onto a stage to sing and all the audience can do is titter, and the male judges express looks of mild annoyance. Kudos to the female judge who, at least, appeared to give the woman the benefit of the doubt.

What is even sadder is that this woman says that she was bullied as a child for her looks and has now buckled to the "makeover machine" and plucked her eyebrows and dyed her hair.

I think it's the fact that there are some uglya$$ men out there who sing and are famous in every other area of entertainment, but all famous women are expected to be BEAUTIFUL. Now you have a woman who is plain as the day is long and all of a sudden everyone is like, "WOW, a plain woman CAN BE AMAZING". It just shows how SICK and twisted our society has become. The woman is brilliant but all everyone wants to talk about is about her looks or lack of social skills. There are plenty of men who are the same way making MILLIONS. >>>>>>>>

I agree, shamefully when I first saw her all I wanted to do was give her a makeover. After some thought I concluded that part of her specialness is her interior beauty and her exterior as well. That I would be "messing with perfection". She is charming and lovable and blessed with a talent few of us can even dream of having. You are very correct.

We are so inundated with beautiful shallow people that we fail to realize that true beauty is inside.

I pray her fame does not change her and she continues to always be beautiful inside, because that is a witness to God and to true beauty.

not a big fan of that style of music but susan blew everyone away, good for her. she was so confident and humble as well, very refreshing.
