There is some problem to connect two pc with lan help me solve it?

First it is a CAT5 cable.

Second, if you wish to link 2 pcs without the use of a network switch, you must use a CAT5 CROSS cable, not a CAT5 straight cable.

Thirdly, if you do not have a DHCP server (e.g. router providing DHCP), you must assign static IP addresses to both pcs and they must be on the same subnet and use the same subnet mask. I suggest that you assign pc # 1 the static IP address 192.168.1.10, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.1.10, and DNS 192.168.1.10. On pc # 2, assign static IP address 192.168.1.11, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.1.10, and DNS 192.168.1.10. (yes all but the static IP address on pc 2 is the same as pc # 1).

Once this is done on both pcs you should be able to ping pc 2's ip address from pc 1 and vice versa confirming that you have successfully linked. Firewalls may need to be set to permit ping response. Finally you must share folders so the other pc can access them.

Use cross cable.to connect 2 pc.

you first at all creat a network connect , go my network places-->setup a home or small office nerwork -->next-->next---> chose other and click next ---> chose last option (thise computer belongs to a nerworks that does not have internet connection) and next--> give your computer name and click next --->next -->chose turn on file and printer sharing--->next--->wait -->chose last option (just finesh the wizard) --> next---> and reboot computer

same connect mack in your other computer

after reboot computer you go to my network place ---> click view network connect --> you see lan ro high-speed internet --->right click ont local area connect and click property-->in general tab chose tcp/ip and double click-->click (use the following ip address) and type ip add.

ip address.. 198.168.0.1

click subnet mask its automaticaly mack 255.255.255.0

at last done ok

in your other pc you use ip add is 192.168.0.2 and all process is same

you connect your computer with cable and go search and click COMPUTER RO PEOPLE and enter your computer !

for access your hard drive go my computer and right click on drive D property and select sharing tab and click (if you understand this risk...........) after you select share this folder on the network and ok
