Are there any organizations that specifically fight against Monsanto?
I am wondering if anyone has started an organization whose major purpose is to fight against the seed patents, GMOs, attacks on small farmers, and overall agricultural monopoly that Monsanto is striving for. I would be very interested in learning more about such an organization and possibly contributing. My family is already doing all that we can to fight Monsanto on our own and now we are looking to join with others.
I am searching for a way to unite with others against Monsanto because their products and practices are NOT safe. It is not safe to infect our food supply with cancer in order to deliver artificially created chemicals that change the genetic makeup into something unnatural. It is not safe to create a seed that is designed to self-destruct after one harvest. It is not safe or fair to promote the use of GM seeds knowing the genetic material will spread without human help and then suing the small farmer who never wanted anything to do with Monsanto seed in the first place but, surprise surprise, they suddenly have Monsanto patented plants growing in their fields. It is not safe for a single company to have so much control of our food supply. It is not ethical to patent plants and animals. It is naive to think that Monsanto is doing a service to the world by fighting to end world hunger. It is possible now to end world hunger but it won't be done because this is a political issue.

Why fight? Oh dear god! Montsanto, the same folks that brought us PCBs, Agent Orange, and BGH (among others). The same corporation that falsifies test results and has been convicted of fraud, misrepresentation (Round-up is NOT biodegradable, thank you!) and people still trust them enough to use their products?
How about the $700 million in lawsuits they've settled for the residents of Anniston, AL after turning the town into a carcinogenic wasteland. They knew what they were doing was wrong, yet they covered it up because it was more profitable to rake in billions and then pay out millions in damages. This company looks at consumers as collateral damage.
Check out www.responsibletechnology.org and follow the links to watch "The World According to Montsanto" - it's in 10-minute youtube clips, but it is very frightening. I'd also recommend going to the library and renting a copy of "The Future of Food". Any company that tries to monopolize food and water rights, particularly in third world countries, is the worst kind of corporate greed. They are pure evil.
And the group you're looking for is called "Millions Against Montsanto".
The more I've learned about what this company does, the harder I've fought.

I have a farm about 7000 acres and use Monsanto products alot and genitically produced Hybrids? I worked for Dekalb for 2 years all of it is safe why the fight?
