Where can I find a moderately (or cheap) hotel near Wrigley Field?

whatever u do, do not stay at the sheffield house. ewww. awesome location disgusting accommodations. the city suites hotel is a good choice. it's one el stop away from wrigley (red line) or u could just walk the 7 blocks. i'd guess u'd be paying around $200 per night. http://cityinns.com/citysuites/#

I would recommend either the Best Western at Hawthorne Terrace, the City Suites Hotel at Belmont and Sheffield, or the Days Inn at Diversey and Clark. All are in Lakeview, which is a terrific neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops, and allare walking distance to Wrigley Field (or a short cab or bus or L trip.) The City Suites hotel is the nicest but probably the most expensive. Best Western Hawthorne is quite nice. Days Inn is cheaper. I'd probably go with the Best Western.
