Help with poem "Road Not Taken"?

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

What images or feelings does this poem evoke and how?

What comparisons are being made?

    To me it evokes images of nature and feelings of confusion, because the traveler has come upon a path that diverges into two and does not know which one to take.

    It is comparing two roads and two decisions in life that we face. At the last two lines, Frost writes, "I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." It's like comparing the easy way out and the hard way out, which ends up being the right thing to do. It's referred as the one less traveled by because not many people do the right thing the first time.

    we did this poem!

    ok well the comparison to me is pretty obvious. its comparing a diverged road to a choice in life. when u reach a diverage road, u r faced with the decision of which way to go. he is saying that he took the one that fewer people have traveled, and wether it was a good or bad decision it made a huge difference in life. the same thing happens when u are faced with a difficult situation or choice to make. some people follow everyone else and others take a different way, a way less traveled by, and our independent. they choose their own path that will lead them to some place few else have seen.

    the feelings and images are a little harder to explain and it needs to be done by urself. everyone gets a different picture.

    1. Never begin a trip with blue orbs; makes for a crotchety ride. 2. You went to the wrong Bell for a taco. 3. Love shack is a song, not a place. 4. Stick to the pink pills. 5. Tequila makes my clothes fall off. 6. Beavers eat wood. 7. Tide gets stains out. You are sumpin'!
