My tv turns off when i turn it on?

well i plug my tv and it turns on but the moment it turns on it turns itself back off i wanted to know neone know what it is .. could be have a problem like this before?? help...

    The fan most likely died and the tv most likely has a sensor to make sure your fan is working so that your tv doesn't heat up & fry itself. Time to use that extended warranty...you did get one right? :)
