The whole Bible is for us, but NOT all written TO or about us....?

The New Testament, excepting those portions addressed directly to the Jews or some other particular group (such as the apostles). Those portions addressed to particular groups have to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, in context of passages that describe what is required of Gentile Christians, Jewish Christians and Christians in general. Most of the requirements & commandments & morality of the New Testament are clearly indicated to be generally applicable to all Christians.

I think the people who run the church obviously still get a power kick out of having millions of people in this day and age waiting to be told what to do by them.

I also think if you are going to believe in an institution like that you have to believe it all or nothing, you can't be in between.

Old people should be concerned about dying.

They're old, after all.
