    Change router settings

direct your browser to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 or summin similar

on the pc that can connect, this'll open up the settings menu

if you havent got a router password then just press enter or submit

change to WPA-PSK much more secure than WPA, WPA can be hacked in 5 minutes on a busy network.

If you are going Wireless and want to connect to a Wireless Network that uses WEP, then YES, you need it. Check one of the computers that is connected to that router, and see if the Wireless network is UNSECURE. If it is, then you do not need the WEP code. ASK they guy that set up the router to see if he knows the code, or access the Router setup page from that other computer to see what it is. Good luck and Happy Computing!

Ask the person who set-up the router for you ...or go into your router settings and get it from here ( if it shows you it) ..if it doesn't show you it you can always make a new WEP key but you'll have to put the key into the PC you are using just now

wep security key is in the site of your router. you should know the default gateway of your router.

from command prompt type ipconfig then enter. you will see the default gateway there. for example: 10.0.0.1

on your net browser let's say internet explorer, type your default gateway on the address bar. a pop-up screen will ask you for your username and password of your router. if you don't put any just try (UN/PW) admin/password, admin/admin, password/password, administrator/password etc.

you can find the WEP on your wireless settings.

With luck, it should be written somewhere on your wireless router. If not, you can use a tool like WirelessKeyView to get it.
