laptop internet question?

Actually there is some different when choosing Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) from DSL or dial up connection. Most of the time on wireless the peak hour of connection is too slow. I suggest to choose LAN base connection rather than wireless connection. If you a wireless connection for free just go to the hot spot area because Laptop has WiFi ready connection.

You need a broadband connection. You can use dialup with wireless, but it would be torture.

You can get broadband from the local cable company or DSL from the local phone company. They will give you a modem to connect to their service. You add a wireless router to that, and that will give you wireless to your home. You can also connect desktop PCs or laptops directly to the router.

You certainly can use the wi-fi at the library and other places, as well. Just be careful using public wireless services. Unless you're absolutely certain of their security and encryption levels, don't do any online banking or other security-critical activity.

ya,, u can go to WIFI Hotspot to gain access the internet if they provide free to all there users... sometime they didnt because they have their own ip address which is not easily cracked... you can ask them if they provide you
