Need to find a girl friend...?

Hey, just an intro,

I am an overachiever, have an almost 4.0, just joined a highschool a few months back, I am 17, a gymnast ( and not just a bit athletic, I am a level 6 tumbler and 7 double mini (just got back from Lubbock for regionals)) I am almost an eagle scout and have plenty of friends, not fans, but FRIENDS, but I have still not had a gf, I have 2 girls who have said love you besides my mom, but they said so I think just because we are really close friends ( both of which have bfs and I have only known for a few short months) I have a date for prom this weekend, but she is a friend of a friend and I know her from only a few iming conversatoins 1 on 1, she doesnt have a bf, so I am hopeful but she apparently just came out of a bad realtionship, and isnt over the guy, so Not thaaaat hopeful. What should I do? and if nothing happens between her and I what should I do (OUTSIDE SCHOOL) to find a gf?
