What is the history of the marijuana plant?

Update:

Sure. Where did it grow native (you know what a native plant is?)

Who first cultivated it and why......

When and why did it become illegal?

I could care less about opinions by the way, just looking for facts. Thanks.

It is native to Central Asia.

Who cultivated it? The people who are native to Central Asia.

    Why? It's good medicine

When and why it became illegal varies from country to country. The link below gives a pretty good chronology for marijuana.

The wiki link gives a good history on it's legal status in the US.

    Ummm... its a plant.

Its been around for a long time...

Can you be more specific about what you need?

I'm not sure about cultivation, but we know that George Washington grew hemp, which is the plant that it comes from.

It was made illegal thanks to a massive political push from several prominent businessmen in the early parts of the 20th century.

it is a plant that people smoke....it gets you high.....and you go partying.....no kidding.

its a naturally grown and it is not really a drug that people make it out to be........cancer patients have to take pill versiond of it to help them but honestly smoking it striaght is much better.........

whatever else you need to know fell free to ask..

    Source(s): the smart choice...
