American tv series that are worth watching?

Watch 24 on Fox!

I know that you got a lot of responses to this question, but this is the

answer that you need to listen to. Trust me! 24 is awesome!

It has everything that you could ever want in a TV show.

Drama, action, some romance, suspense & really good plot lines.

But I will warn you, it's addictive. I love it 'cause there are so many

twists & turns that you never saw coming.

They began the seventh season in January, but you could probably

find the first 6 seasons at Block Buster, or watch it online. I don't know

if you know anything about it, but it's all in real time. Each season is

one day. Each episode is one hour. There are 24 episodes in a

season.

It's basically about fighting terrorism & about a really awesome main

character named Jack Bauer. He's like my favorite super hero ever.

(even though he doesn't technically have super powers, but sometimes

I wonder. lol)

It's not the kind of show where you can just start watching at any point

& still know what's going on. You have to start from the beginning, or

at least the beginning of a season. And the first season is good, but

don't judge the whole show just by the first season. Keep going after

that. (If you start there)

It comes on Monday nights on fox. CHOOSE 24! Seriously.

I've seen a lot of TV shows, & it really is the best. After you've seen a

few seasons, (if it takes that long) You won't ever like anything as much.

But I can't explain it as well as the links below can. So you really should

look at those.

But how has nobody mentioned The Wire? This is considered by many critics to be one of the greatest TV shows ever. It is easily the most realistic show ever and has some of the best character development i have ever seen. There was 5 seasons of it and they are all amazing. Take a look at these reviews of season 4 if you need convincing.

So you should definately watch 24 or The Wire if you are looking for the BEST shows. These shows make Heroes look terrible. Trust me, Ive watched Heroes. Its not nearly as good as these.

They are all awesome TV shows, but it just depends on what you're interested in. For example, only watch America's Next Top Model and The Amazing Race if you are into reality shows. Fringe is a science-fiction drama that is amazing! How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, and Two and a Half Men are all comedies that are definitely funny and worth watching. The others on my list are all dramas that are great and fun to watch.

Criminal Minds and Bones are fantastic if you like CSI type shows (Bones season 4 currently showing on Sky 1, Criminal Minds season 3 recently finished on Living but there is another series next year). Also: Fringe, Scrubs, 2 and a half Men, Brothers and Sisters, Alias, Veronica Mars (one of the BEST shows ever!), Nip Tuck, Dead Like Me, Grey's Anatomy (AMAZING show), Buffy, Angel, Tru Calling, A Town Called Eureka, Lost, Heroes, Stargate, Stargate Atlantis, Friends, NCIS, Las Vegas, 24..... There are LOADS of really good US shows - unfortunately there are loads that never got picked up/dropped too (eg Journeyman, Moonlight, Runaway, Vanished). Some of the ones that I mentioned above have already finished, but definitely worth watching! Honestly, I'm not really a telly addict!

By far the best series in a long time is a show called "Breaking Bad" its on the AMC channel. Its in the middle of the second season right now. Your really must watch the first season to know what in the heck is going on. You can buy the first season off of Amazon.

There are very few shows I would recommend as strongly as this one, but Breaking Bad has been absolutely mind-blowing. I've not seen anything like it on TV in a long, long, long time...
