Well, the Devils are in Newark, which is in the New York metropolitan area. I'd say the Rangers were more heart breaking, even though the Devils were supposed to win this series. They were the 3 seed. Who would have thought the 7 seed could have commanded a 3-1 lead? But, it happened, and the Rangers lost, simply because they were outplayed by the Capitals. The Devils definitely choked too. As painful as this is to say, I hope my Mets or Jets didn't rub off on them lol But, luckily, I'm not much of a hockey fan. I watch, but can really watch any team. I'm a Mets fan, but would tell you we've not just choked, but gagged the last two years. The only team with a showing of guts were the Giants. Don't throw the Yankees into this lol They're a joke... I don't even take them seriously.

Wow, Orioles...you said this, "Its the power of the much better southeast division!!!!!!!"
Coming from a long time Capitals and Orioles fan I am ashamed to have a fan like you. The Southeast conference is one of not the weakest conference in the whole NHL. I'll save that for another answer.
As for the NY/NJ choking, its not really choking. Its them getting all hyped up thinking they have either the game or series in hand when they really don't. Both of them just need to slow it down and take it one period and one game at a time. However, I will give both of them a lot of credit for their series. Just kinda sad to see both of them get knocked out considering NJ looked like in my opinion the team the beat.

I know huh. The Rangers really choked hard. Lundqvist deserves better. All of those free agents came to NY in the past couple yrs and forgot how to score goals. I can't wait to read the papers tomorrow.

Well I think the Sharks had the worst choke this year, so far any way. I don't think the Rangers or Devils choked either, both played well, just couldn't seal the deal.

New York Rangers didn't choke. How can you say they did? Most of the predictions were for the Caps to win it at home in game 7. But I do call the New Jersey game a choke. Man do I feel bad for Brodeur.

Rangers choked because their offense could not produce. Lundqvist was outstanding and the defense played solid.
As for the Devils, they were extremely unlucky. Twice in one series they lost with less than a minute left. I feel bad for them, especially Brodeur. they played their asses off the whole series.

You know I don't know if they choked per se. But I am sure the fans of the Islanders and Buffalo are loving this right now .

I LMAO'd after staal scored that goal at the end, but I felt bad for the devils. By the way, the devils crowd blows. They are so quiet compared to other teams crowds!
