Why is no air coming out of the vents in my central air?

When I turn my air on nothing comes out of the vents. I can hear the inside and outside fan come on and kick off with the thermostat but no air out of the vents. Help?! Plear explain your answer not very fluent in tech lingo

You may just be hearing the unit cycling. Is the switch on you thermostat set for the fan to on or automatic.

Very possible that your blower motor ( the one that pushes the cool air out of the vents) is on its way out. Hopefully it is that and not the whole thing going out- call to have it checked out.

Further checks should be done .

check to see if the fan belt or pulley is loose and also check the air filter

hope this your problem because they require only mjnor adjustments
