Why do Christians mock muslims and label them terrorists when...?

Islam and Christianity are the only two major religions with a doctrine of eternal hellfire. The fundamental similarities between the two religions are numerous. The major difference is that Christians tirade against Muslims with half-digested propaganda they pull from Christian websites while Muslims are usually supportive of Christianity or at least content enough to not criticize. When Muslims criticize Christians, it is usually to say, we're tired of you pushing your religion on us. When Christians criticize Muslims, it's to say, your religion is demonic.

That's a big difference. I also KNOW that the vast majority of Christians who rail against Muslims have no personal experience them. I'm from Idaho. Most of these Christians have never met a Muslim.

I get that you're not religious and you don't care, but you asked the question.

It's not just christians who are a little uncomftorable with islam. All over the world people are killing infadels in the name of allah[kind of kreepy]. To avoid offense I believe there are friendly muslims, I don't think everyone who goes to a mosque is a terrorist.

To you're credit Judaism and Christianity were one before the death of Christ. The old testament [Bible written in BC era] which both christian and jew believe tells a messiah is coming. Christians believe he has already come and that Jesus was him. Jews believe that he is still on his way and Jesus was just a charitable guy. So these two are obviously different.

As far as christian verses muslim. Muslims believe if you're good works out weigh your bad then you go to heaven. As a christian I believe that all men are sinful and can not do anything but trust in the power of Christ's death and resurection to bring us to God.

Ok... not all christians mock muslims. I don'tt, and have never heard anyone in my church mock them.

Secondly, chritianity is not the same as Judaism and Islam. Judaism has the beliefe that Jesus Christ was not the messiah and that the messiah hasnt came yet. Christians believe the way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Christianity is all about believeing in Jesus, and the other religions go against him. I as a Christian do not like the fact that you consider my religion the same as islam and judaism.

Please don't blame all Christians for that attitude. I'm Christian, and I don't think like that at all. The fact is that ALL our religions have many similarities, and one of which, they are all peaceful religions. It's not any religion that's bad, but the over the edge, narrow minded, people that cause all the problems. It's also a fact that each one of our religions has a certain segment of their flock who unfortunately, do think like that. They don't know it, but they are doing it wrong. The Christian religion is one of love and acceptance for all. Not hate and and exclusion. They'll find out in the end.

I don't mock the Muslim or the others. Don't care what they do as long as they stay away from me. The fact that the world is in meltdown is prophesied.

If you are talking about records of Christians and 'Christian' nations - there is probably nothing to brag about. But, then the atheist nations are even worse - North Korea, China, USSR / Russia. The pagan nations of Africa are in total disarray and meltdown. The Congo, Angola, and Zimbabwe are good examples of that.

If however you are talking about teachings that some Christians do their utmost to follow -- there can be no comparison.

Christians are told not to be part of the world -- that is, not to be part of its wars and evils. They are told to concentrate on serving their King Christ, and worship his God.

This is done by holy lives avoiding sin and by doing unto others as you want them to do to you, to love your neighbor as yourself.

The Qur'an teaches that vengeance is proper, the Bible teaches Christians not to avenge themselves. The Qur'an teaches that all should partake in Jihad, or holy war. The Bible teaches that our weapons are spiritual, the word of God.

Judaism becomes self-evident from the previous. The fact that they cannot even practice their religion as prescribed any longer should be enough for any believer to realize that their God shut their religion down in preference of the Christian new covenant and people. There the Jewish are just as welcome as all the pagans are -- everyone is invited, even the atheists.

One of the most dangerous things is people who believe they are educated when in fact they are ignorant.

It is not almost exactly the same. Apparently you haven't studied both all that much. Regardless, I do not mock muslims or label them terrorists. Not all Muslims are like the ones they like putting on TV. It's not Christians that label them: it's the media that does (they like labeling everyone)

You should have worded your question differently. Why do "some" Christians mock muslims. Why do "some" Muslims mock Christians.

Why do people mock each other instead of living as Jesus taught us in peace and love.

Who has the truth. Christians will say they have. Muslims will say they have. Hindu's will say they have, etc. etc. There are some in each religion who are fanatics and who give their particular religion a bad name. There are also some in each religion who live their lives in love and peace.

Here is Surah 109 from the Qur'an, entitled "Those who reject faith":

1.Say: "Oh you that reject faith,

2. I do not worship that which you worship

3. Nor will you worship that which I worship

4. And I will not worship that which you have worshipped

5. Nor will you worship that which I worship

6. To you be your way and to me mine.

There is plenty in the Qur'an about not judging other religions, that Allah only can do that.

Simply because they are too stubborn to read the holy text of Islam, which is much vague than the bible, but it is still pretty close to the bible. And the religions are exactly the same.
