Unobtrusive external battery storage for G3-A4 "RIS'd" AEG?

I have a JG G3-SG1 AEG, with the CA "G3-A4" stock--meaning, it has the slither/retractable stock. I also attached a CA RIS handgrip to the front.

I have my battery (a 9.6v nunchuck, so sorta small) in a RIS PEQ box, and I HATE it! it is bulky, takes up space, creates a lack of balance...whatever...

SO: Where else may I place the battery? No room in the handgrip, and no solid stock, so it'd need to be external. Any ideas?

Update:

Here is the stock I have:

It has two positions-extended and collapsed-so I could not attach a battery pouch to it.

I currently do have the PEQ box on the underside of the rails; it is OK, but it takes up a lot of space. So, I can use only my vertical grip to hold the front of my gun for aiming, otherwise, there is no part of the RIS handguard to grab onto that is exposed.

What about an external battery pouch? Wrap it around your stock (I'm assuming it's a telescopic stock, but a link would be nice to verify) and it stays out of the way, and shouldn't mess up your balance. Although you could just put the the PEQ box on the underside of your gun? If I remember right the rails are quite long so you should be able to fit it on there without getting in the way of your grip.

    Anyway, here's my suggestion:
